Garden Consultation
Starting from scratch breaking new ground this Spring? Are you a keen gardener already but just want a little bit of advise for how to improve your garden site? Do you have an existing garden that just needs a little bit of TLC? Is your soil lacking adequate amounts of the 14 essential nutrients for your plants?
We offer a variety of garden consultations to help get the ideas flowing for the upcoming growing season. Personalised, site specific consults are available in ½ hour. 1 hour, 1.5 hour, and 2-hour time slots.
Consultations include - Site evaluation, general planning / scheduling, nutrient / fertility management plan, compost / soil amendment plans and scheduling, irrigation needs, amount of return maintenance / care needed, if necessary, etc.
It is nearly imperative that we begin with an Initial Consulting session.
I will come out to your property at a date/time that suits us both and we can do a walkthrough and talk about your goals. Then I go to the office and write a tailored, detailed, personalised quote sent to you in a timely manner.
Quote outlining labour and rough costs of materials needed for the jobs. This process takes me 2-4 hours. As a result of the initial consultation, you'll receive highly specific plant and soil science advise in a digestible form, and from there we can move forward with scheduling your projects.
There is a small cost to cover my expenses with our initial consultation generally just a small fee of about $ 150 - $ 250 - depending on length of consult and complexity of quotes and such… You receive gold for it though - a priceless document with detailed plans for our next steps, quotes, costs, and we begin our growing journey! Also this is for sure the most critical thinking intensive part of our journey for me… So that cost is extremely small for a consult with a 15-year plant and soil science industry veteran.
Customized planning can enable us to get all your veggie seedling requests, organic amendments preference, irrigation system requests, or any other custom ideas you may have ready to go for the growing season.
Consultation results and garden plans will be typed and made available shortly after session electronically - sustainability :)
